Eberspächer opens new UK headquarters
Eberspächer (UK) Ltd has opened a new purpose-built UK headquarters and manufacturing facility in Ringwood, Hampshire. The company, a manufacturer and supplier of vehicle, construction, marine heating and air conditioning systems, is part of the global Eberspächer Group, which is still family owned and is celebrating its 150th year.
The official opening was carried out on 25 March at Climate House, Yeoman Road, Ringwood, BH24 3FA by Eberspächer Group COO and managing partner, Heinrich Baumann and UK managing director, Vince Lee, with the Mayor of Ringwood Cllr. Barbara Woodifield in attendance.
Established in the New Forest in 1977, Eberspächer UK’s new headquarters has enabled the company to consolidate three sites into one location.
Heinrich Baumann says: “The UK is the second largest subsidiary of the Climate Control Systems Division and most important, as they have been active in successfully adapting their business model to the ever changing environment.”
Vince Lee, Eberspächer UK’s managing director, explained: “…This £6.5 million investment reflects our commitment to raising the profile of Eberspächer within the UK”.
Eberspächer UK’s new 5,276m2 headquarters is three times the size of its previous facilities. It houses a state-of-the-art climatic chamber, boasting a temperature range of -30°C to +60°C. This chamber facilitates the development of new evaporators and condensers that will enter the company’s product portfolio from April onwards, with new product launches at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, Birmingham.
Eberspächer’s new home is one of the most energy efficient buildings in the region. With its ‘A’ rating, the headquarters ranks above average for new buildings – a level achieved thanks to the inclusion of a number of features such as eco-friendly lighting and enhanced insulation materials.
