Morimoto replacing Nishiyama as Bridgestone Americas’ executive chairman
As of 24 March, Yoshiyuki Morimoto will succeed Asahiko Nishiyama as executive chairman of Bridgestone Americas, Inc. Morimoto’s appointment to this position coincides with his retirement from Bridgestone Corporation’s Board of Directors and the end of his tenure as assistant to the tyre maker’s senior vice-president and his role as chief technology officer responsible for technology.
Upon relinquishing his position within Bridgestone Americas, Asahiko Nishiyama will take up a number of roles in Bridgestone’s non-tyre businesses.
