Michelin to expand Canadian factory?

Michelin North America and the municipality of the County of Kings, Nova Scotia, have agreed the sale of about 50 acres of land in Waterville to the tyre manufacturer for a reported sum of nearly $1.9 million. The land, which is part of a due-to-be-closed airport, is adjacent to Michelin’s truck tyre plant, and there is speculation that it will be used to extend the manufacturing facility.

Michelin had no comment to make on the deal.
