Mahle Aftermarket UK appoints new operations manager

Mahle Aftermarket has appointed a new operations manager at its UK headquarters near Wolverhampton to oversee the expansion of its warehousing facilities and installation of a new parts handling systems.

Bjoern Hornung, who joins the company from Mahle Aftermarket’s headquarters in Stuttgart, where he was responsible for supplier relationship management and the integration of new products such as electronic thermostats and air conditioning service units into the central parts supply chain.

A trained business economist, Hornung has gained extensive experience of the automotive spare parts market in Germany, working with bus and truck parts supplier SSB in material requirement planning, forecasting and purchasing at the company’s logistics centre prior to joining Mahle in 2013.
