Interstate gives Dynacargo its UK debut
After three and a half years of selling the Dynacargo range in the US, Canada and Mexico, Interstate launched this truck brand in Europe at the Essen show in Germany in May. Back then it was one of a number of new ranges launched across the continent. During October’s Brityrex, Interstate gave Dyncargo its UK-specific debut and this time the truck tyre products were the company’s central focus.
According to Theo de Vries, vice president of Interstate Tire & Rubber Co., 60 sizes are available now, with new European focused sizes coming soon. Something that is designed to set Dynacargo apart is the company’s clever casing promise, which guarantees that a minimum amount for Dynacargo casings as insurance against rejection from casing traders or retreaders. Theo de Vries reports that the company has run this programme in the US before with some success and hope to replicate this in Europe – after all this is one of those cases where the contract manufacturer is confident enough that it is willing to put its money where its mouth is.
Currently Interstate is looking for a truck tyre distributor in the UK – and this was no-doubt a key reason for attending Brityrex. However, that is not to say that the firm is in a hurry to move large quantities of its product unduly. Rather the strategy is to build up the Dynacargo over here as Interstate has done on the other side of the Atlantic, using its casing quality guarantee as a key tool.
