NTDA highlights business opportunities at Brityrex
NTDA director Stefan Hay says next month’s Brityrex International in Manchester will be the business and social high point of the UK tyre industry calendar for 2014. The biennial, three-day show is the only dedicated trade-only exhibition that brings together UK and international suppliers of tyres, garage equipment, tools, consumables, IT and training services inside the UK.
“Brityrex International is a fantastic opportunity for the trade to spend time meeting suppliers and talking to people and organisations that can help to improve their businesses”, says Stefan Hay. “As the show only takes place every two years, it really is an opportunity not to be missed by any forward-thinking retailer, manufacturer, distributor or service provider. I know my members are looking forward to it and I encourage everyone involved in the trade to get behind the UK’s premier tyre event.”
As part of its cooperation with Brityrex, the NTDA is also responsible for the organisation of the popular TyreTalk programme of free technical seminars that will run on the first and second days of the show. Seven presentations from a panel of expert speakers will cover a range of subjects including EU Tyre Labelling, Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems, the MoT, Tyre Measurement and campaigns on illegal waste tyre dumping, over-aged tyres and part-worn tyres.
The social highlight of Brityrex will be the sell-out NTDA Annual Dinner featuring the revamped Tyre Industry Awards, presented by former MP and Government Minister Michael Portillo. The dinner will be held in the Hilton Deansgate Hotel and has already attracted over 530 guests.
