Northern Ireland Tyre Safety Week focuses on ageing

The Northern Ireland Tyre Safety Association (NITSA) in partnership with the PSNI and the National Tyre Distributors’ Association (NTDA) has announced that the 2014 Tyre Safety Week will take place from 6 – 12 October. This year’s Tyre Safety Week campaign is focusing on educating the public of the potential dangers of old tyres and urging people to check their tyres.

To mark Tyre Safety Week, NITSA is running a competition on www.nitsa.co.uk for eight lucky winners to receive a set of tyres up to the value of £250 donated by leading tyre manufacturers.

The week’s organisers are recommending tyre checks by local NTDA distributors if anyone is unsure of the condition of their tyres.

The Northern Ireland Tyre Safety Association (NITSA) operates as the Northern Ireland branch of the National Tyre Distributors’ Association (NTDA). NITSA is an industry body comprising local tyre distributors and tyre manufacturers all working together with the common goal of improving Tyre Safety across Northern Ireland.
