Checkpoint to launch CV wheel safety products at Brityrex
Checkpoint, purportedly the original manufacturer and developer of the wheel nut indicator, is set to launch two new CV wheel safety and security products at this October’s Brityrex International exhibition in Manchester.
The first new safety device is a one-piece wheel nut fixing ring dubbed the Squirrel. The new retainer is simple to fit and can be installed in minutes, with no special fitting tools. As there are no moving parts, the unit does not get clogged with road dirt and grime. According to the company, it is also capable of working in a wide range of temperatures and suitable for both front and back wheels.
The second new product aimed at fleet owners and operators is an anti-theft device called Trucklock, which works by replacing one nut per wheel with a lock. The lock has a specially coded pattern milled into it that engages with the corresponding pattern on the key tool. Locks are made of high quality alloy steel and are hardened for strength and durability. The introduction of Trucklock recognises that vehicles and components are increasingly being targeted by thieves for their value as scrap and recycled materials.
Andy Jordan, Checkpoint’s marketing manager, says: “Brityrex will offer us the perfect opportunity to meet buyers from the CV industry who value the safety and security of their fleets. Many will already be users of our original wheel nut indicator system so we are confident they, and new users, will be enthusiastic about the latest innovative products we are bringing to the market.”
Checkpoint will be exhibiting on Stand 26 in Hall 4 at Brityrex International, EventCity, Manchester.
