Bryan Robson to attend Federal Tyres’ Moscow event
Federal Tyres has confirmed that Manchester United and England veteran Bryan Robson will be their guest of honour at the Taiwanese tyre company’s 60th Anniversary celebration in Moscow on 30 August, during the Moscow International Automobile Salon [MIAS].
Robson played 461 times for Manchester United in all competitions between 1981 and 1994, and is the longest serving captain in the Club’s history. He also played 90 times for England, scoring 26 goals from midfield. In 2011, Robson was voted the greatest ever Manchester United player. ‘Captain Marvel’ will be visiting the Federal Tyres stand at MIAS and helping Federal connect with just a few of the 17 million Manchester United fans in Russia.
Speaking ahead of his visit to Moscow, Bryan Robson said: “I am really looking forward to visiting Moscow with Federal Tyres. It’s a great city with a great footballing tradition. I have fond memories of playing alongside Andrei Kanchelskis while I was at United, and I actually tried to sign him when I was manager at Middlesbrough.
“Most of all, I’m looking forward to meeting some of the fans in Moscow because I know they are some of the most passionate in the world, and that lots of them follow Manchester United. We’re a global club with a global fanbase, and you really feel that when you’re in a massive football city like Moscow.”
Federal Tyres marketing manager, Geoffrey Chang, said: “It is going to be an honour having Bryan Robson with us in Moscow. He is one of Manchester United’s greatest ever players, arguably one of the greatest ever to play the game. Bryan was a leader and a champion, and we hope he is going to inspire our customers to Wake Up the Champion Inside when he’s with us in Moscow next week.”
