£300k generated for network in AutoCare ‘Win a Car’ promotion
Groupauto’s latest AutoCare promotion, the “Fantastic Summer Giveaway”, generated “more than £321,000 of work for the garages in the network that participated,” according to AutoCare network manager, Maria McCullough. Almost 2,200 motorists entered the prize draw in the eight weeks of the competition, with the top prize of a Citroën C1 awarded to John Cooley, who booked his car into Earby Autos in Earby, Lancashire. Earby Autos is supplied its parts by Groupauto member Raynor Motor Factors.
“Following a similar format to that which we pioneered last winter,” McCullough explained, “the promotion gave motorists the opportunity to win a variety of prizes from Virgin Experience Days, Samsung Wi-Fi cameras and Apple TV adapters, to the top prize of a Citroën C1 VT, by simply booking their car in for a service, repair or MOT during June and July.
“Each of the 360 garages in the AutoCare network had access to a range of promotional support material to help publicise the campaign and many listened to our tips and advice and used the stickers, leaflets and posters to generate interest from not only their existing customers, but also those motorists currently outside the network and looking for a garage they can trust.
“We are already counting down to the next promotion, which will run from October to the end of November and are anticipating another great profit generating opportunity for our AutoCare garages.”
