Phil Robbins joins Starco’s UK technical team

Former Michelin man Phil Robbins has been appointed sales support engineer within Starco’s UK-based technical team. In his new role, Robbins will provide technical sales support to the company’s global entities and will collaborate with Starco’s sales team on specific customer projects. He will also work on honing internal processes in order to improve technical customer support.

“Whether it is an original equipment manufacturer or an aftermarket tyre specialist, Starco is committed to always provide the best technical assistance to our customers in meeting their challenges,” states Mike Green, group technical manager at Starco. “The appointment of Phil Robbins is a significant strengthening of our continued efforts to do so. I’m very pleased to welcoming him to our team.”

Prior to joining Starco, Robbins worked in various roles at Michelin over a 30-year period, most recently as technical manager for Michelin Plc, a position he held for some five years. Prior to this, he worked for four years in retread business support for Michelin Plc and in truck tyre product marketing at company headquarters in France. Other roles during his nearly career with Michelin have included time spent as a trainer in manufacturing quality control in South Korea as well as numerous specialist roles for commercial, industrial and earthmover tyres.
