Avon ZZ5 now offering across the board ‘A’ for wet grip

All sizes in Avon Tyres’ flagship range now carry an ‘A’ label rating for wet grip, reports Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe. This rating upgrade comes courtesy of a reformulated compound and the utilisation of a high-dispersion silica tread. Previously the line-up, which includes W and Y speed rated fitments for 17 to 19-inch rims, included both ‘A’ and ‘B’ wet grip rated tyres.

“Since the ZZ5 was launched, it has received rave reviews from customers,” commented Jason Clarke, sales director at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe. “I’m excited to see us take this flagship UHP product a further step forward, with an A grade for wet grip across its entire fitment size range, providing the optimum in safety at a value for money price.”
