Starco receives Väderstad OEM certification

Swedish agricultural implement manufacturer Väderstad has recently added Starco to its portfolio of certified strategic suppliers. In common with other certification processes completed by Starco in recent years, the Väderstad certification began with a comprehensive audit of the most vital aspects of Starco’s product and service, including quality, product variance, delivery on-time, cost, and service factors such as purchasing, spare parts, service quality and logistics. The audit also included two focus areas of importance to Väderstad; delivery precision and production lead time. Starco shares that it scored top points in the focus areas of quality and delivery.

“Certification by key OEM customers is important for Starco,” commented Lars Henriksen, team leader at Starco A/S, the Danish company’s division for handling OEM customers in Scandinavia. “All other things being equal, a certified supplier will be given preference over a non-certified supplier, because the OEM is confident that we can handle the job and deliver the goods. Certification by respected OEM’s also enhances our sales potential when dealing with other customers who do not have their own certification program, but instead look for a supplier who is well-established and certified by other leading OEMs.”
