Hämmerling appoints Philip White Tyres as UK and Eire Athos distributor

Paderborn, Germany-based, Hämmerling – The Tyre Company GmbH, has signed a distributor agreement with Irish company Philip White Tyres Ltd. This family-owned company is now the exclusive distributor of Athos truck tyres in the UK and Ireland with immediate effect. This newly-signed agreement with Philip White Tyres Ltd is aimed at achieving further growth of Hämmerling – The Tyre Company GmbH in the UK tyre market.

The basis for this cooperation, which was announced at Reifen Essen was the earlier contact made at April’s Commercial Vehicle Show 2014 in Birmingham. The successful show attendance of Hämmerling – The Tyre Company GmbH as well as the generally positive reputation of the Athos truck tyres on the European market not only appealed to the representatives of Philip White Tyres Ltd but also contributed to increasing awareness of the company in the UK market. A large number of orders have reportedly already been received.

Phillip White Tyres Ltd is based in Armagh and runs six additional depots in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The company has many years of experience in the tyre industry at its disposal and has also signed a number of exclusive supply agreements with various tyre manufacturers.
