Brake bleeding made easy
Randstad Ltd has launched a new brake bleeding machine into the UK automotive aftermarket. Marketed under the TerraClean brand, it is suitable for bleeding brakes and hydraulic coupling systems quickly and with no mess.
Bleeding Brakes is the process of purging any air bubbles within the braking system and this is necessary, because while the brake fluid is an incompressible liquid, air bubbles are compressible gas and their presence in the brake system greatly reduces the hydraulic pressure that can be developed within the system.
The brake bleeding machine has an easy to move four metre-long brake fluid hose and only one person is needed to complete the process, which requires that the vehicle has to be raised before approaching the furthest wheel first and connecting to the fluid reservoir in order to push the brake fluid through.
The 12V high capacity brake bleeder comes with battery clamps for efficient bleeding and has a 10litre reservoir capacity. It operates from 0.4 bar and is also suitable for ABS and ESP brakes. Made from both stainless steel and plastic, it also includes internal professional “push in” fittings, making it ideal for service. There are plenty of connection types and it is also supplied with an adapter for most European models.
The machine is incredibly safe to use and is equipped with an alarm that emits warning sounds in case of reversed polarity, too low brake fluid level and short circuit. The process eliminates a spongy brake pedal and completes the process quickly and cleanly.
