Nexen forms Aerokit Nexen European Drift Series team

Nexen Tire has announced plans to join the largest drift racing scene in Europe. The company announced that it has agreed a sponsorship deal with Team Aerokit Nexen, one of the teams fighting it out for glory in the Drift Allstars 2014 European Series, with the racing calendar running from the 17 May through to September.

Nexen describes its ultra-high performance tyres as the choice of winners, pointing to the fact that they have shod the winner at this event for the last two years. This year, Nexen is joining forces with Aerokit, one of Europe’s top styling brands, to form a new drift team. And of course the company is looking to increase brand awareness across Europe by sponsoring a team whose cars are fitted with the firm’s N9000 tyre

Fitted with the N9000, Nexen’s ultra-high performance tyre, Team Aerokit Nexen has high hopes of being crowned champion for the third consecutive year thanks to its unrivalled drift technique. The series runs for seven rounds, held in seven countries across Europe. Starting in the UK on the 17 May, the event will alternate in venues through Sweden, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Lithuania, before the final round is held in Poland in September.

Nexen Tire will have its brand prominently displayed on the team’s car and the driver’s uniform. The company sees this event as a “fantastic opportunity to let European consumers know more about its products” and raise its brand awareness in the market.
