Infinity Tyres Handicap run at York’s Dante Festival
The annual Infinity Tyres Handicap is now a feature race of May’s Dante Festival at York Racecourse. Associated with Infinity’s UK distributor Bond International, the six furlong (1,207 metres) handicap race attracted a strong field of 20 riders, all aiming to lift the coveted trophy and share in a prize pool totalling over £30,000. Following this year’s race, a specially-designed Infinity trophy was presented to the owner of winning horse Aetna, B. Padgett, by Jorge Crespo, Infinity Tyres’ European general manager. The race was watched by packed crowds at York Racecourse, with a live broadcast audience of thousands on Channel 4 Racing and global satellite television.
