Hercules launches Ironman brand I-Series medium truck tyres

Hercules associate brand Ironman has unveiled a new range of medium truck tyres designed to offer very competitive cost per mile averages in the North American market. The I-Series offers more than 30 SKUs comprised of highway, open shoulder drive, closed shoulder drive, mixed service and trailer options, some of which are SmartWay verified.

The I-Series line-up starts with the I-601 regional all-position steer and trailer tyre, which features dependable traction and improved directional stability. The I-208 closed shoulder drive tyre provides superior stability and resistance to irregular wear. The fuel-efficient I-208 is part of the EPA SmartWay verified technologies of low rolling resistance tires. The I-460 trailer tyre for long or short hauls is designed with sipes to provide better traction and drainage.  These three tyres’ low rolling resistance has allowed them to obtain EPA SmartWay verification.

Also in the I-Series are the I-109 regional all-position rib steer and trailer tyre, which features a five-rib design for long mileage and shoulder wear resistance on steer axle use. The I-370 is an open shoulder drive tyre, featuring a deep tread and tough, siped blocks for better mileage and traction under all weather conditions. The I-604 open shoulder drive tyre features a tread compound designed to enhance longevity and features large, aggressive lugs for traction under all conditions and siping for better water traction and decreased heel to toe wear.  The I-181 all-position rib tyre largely used for trailer applications features a five-rib design and microsipes that fight onset of irregular wear and provide better mileage. Finally the I-301 highway mixed service chip and cut tyre has a chip, cut and tear resistant tread and sidewall compound with three center ribs to ensure good directional stability, even wear and a smooth ride.

Ironman brand medium truck tires have a limited warranty against defects in workmanship or material for five years from the date of purchase and carry a casing warranty for one retread. Hercules is also pursuing SmartWay verification for additional Ironman I-Series patterns.
