Fleet success for Goodyear Marathon Coach
The Marathon Coach has been fitted exclusively by more than 17 fleets
More than 17 fleets have fitted the Goodyear Marathon Coach tyre, an all-position tyre for year-round use and the first tyre Goodyear designed specifically for coaches, launched in 2012.
John Mcgill, workshop manager of Reays Coaches, explained why he decided to fit the manufacturer’s product: “The Marathon Coach combines all the important characteristics we look for when purchasing a tyre. The mileage potential is outstanding thanks to the asymmetric pattern creating even wear, which, ultimately drives down our cost per kilometre. Also, our drivers agree that the tyre has little external noise while providing customers with a high comfort level.”
Marc Preedy, director of Commercial Tyres at Goodyear Dunlop in the UK, adds: “The amount of fleets that have made the decision to fit their vehicles with the Goodyear coach tyre is a fabulous endorsement of this product. Since its launch we have had great feedback on the product and it confirms our confidence that this innovative tyre meets the bespoke needs of the coach market.”
