Dunlop Aircraft Tyres thriving and growing

Aviation tyre manufacturer Dunlop Aircraft Tyres Limited has distanced itself from Goodyear Dunlop’s decision to end motorsport tyre production in the UK later this year. In a short statement, the company points out that it is “in no way connected to Goodyear Dunlop” and clarifies that “there are no changes to the operation of Dunlop Aircraft Tyres.

“With recent investment in new machinery, the award of a £1.5 million government grant for new product development and ongoing recruitment, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres continues to thrive and grow,” the statement concludes.

The 1911-established company, whose branding slogan is “World class aircraft tyres. And nothing else”, has been owned by private equity group AAC Capital Partners since May 2007.
