Bilstein releases compatible damper options for BMW E92 M3 models

Bilstein has released details of a range of adjustable damper upgrade for BMW’s E92 M3. The German firm, which has many solutions for this platform, now offers full plug and play compatibility with the factory EDC system, keeping full functionality with the factory switchgear. The EDC-compatible unit is based on the Bilstein B6 unit and allows owners to adjust their car for track or fast road work in an instant.

Bilstein says the upgrade maintains the character and comfort of the original car, but with a sharper focus on handling precision. The B6 damper package helps to enhance significantly the dynamic abilities of the E92 platform, according to Bilstein, working in harmony with either the OEM springs or any quality aftermarket offering. The unit plugs directly into the factory loom, using OEM connectors to provide a direct replacement for the original dampers. The range uses the manufacturer’s gas pressure technology and inverted monotube construction, hand-finished in its German factory.

The E92 upgrade is priced at £493 (excluding VAT) for the front, available in left and right-hand drive models, and £302 for the rear.
