Fiat names Brembo sustainability supplier of the year award
Brembo has been recognised as the first Fiat-Chrysler sustainable supplier of the year. In 2009 the car company from Turin launched specific certification procedures for its supply chain in EMEA area.
According to the company, Brembo earned this important recognition following an audit conducted by a third party agency named by Fiat-Chrysler. They demonstrated significant commitment in terms of sustainability issues, having adopted a Code of Ethics for some time which is also followed by their suppliers, and a specific Code on Basic Working Conditions which extends to all the companies in the Group, as well as creating a structure focused on defining company strategies relative to sustainability issues and the subsequent translation into actions and projects.
Cristina Bombassei, Brembo administrative director and CSR Officer, received the award from Sergio Marchionne, Fiat-Chrysler CEO and Alfredo Altavilla, Fiat-Chrysler Chief Operating Officer Europe, Africa and Middle East, during an official ceremony organised at the Lingotto Turin Congress Centre.
