Agritechnica Arocs fitted with Alliance tyres
Amongst the Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks range on display at Agritechnica is a version of the Arocs retrofitted by the manufacturer for agriculture. The 310kW (421hp) tractor Arocs 2042AS is fitted with permanent all-wheel drive in order to facilitate the efficient transportation of heavy loads at speed – an application that requires specific tyres. Speaking with Tyres & Accessories, Alliance Tire Group (ATG) chief executive officer Yogesh Mahansaria expressed particular pride in the fitment of an Alliance product on the agri Arocs shown at Agritechnica: The vehicle displayed at the trade fair was a 60km/h restricted unit (making it suitable to be driven by tractor license holders) equipped with A-380 floatation radials in size 560/60 R22.5 161E on the front rims and 750/45 R22.5 166E on the rear. Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks describes the Alliance products as “large-volume, high-traction tyres which have minimal impact on the soil.”
