Mercedes-Benz Driving Events to run on Bridgestone

Bridgestone has entered into a deal to supply tyres for Mercedes-Benz’s Driving Events, the outfit in charge of all driver training and driving experiences at the German car maker. A range of tyres from the Potenza, Turanza, Dueler and Blizzak ranges will be fitted to the full range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles used during all 36 Mercedes-Benz driving events, driver trainings, off-road trainings and travel journeys in 2013/2014.

The Mercedes-Benz Driving Events focus on teaching a large number of safe driving techniques from emergency braking to evasive action and high-speed manoeuvring, all in response to challenging traffic situations and road conditions. Eco driving techniques are also covered, instructing participants on how to minimise fuel consumption by adapting their driving behaviour. The events cover a wide spectrum of driving situations, depending on the participants’ skill level and interests.
