Manbat pleased with exhibition triple-header
Battery supplier Manbat has supported three consecutive events in Telford, Birmingham and Paris. “Despite the complication of the timing of the events, two of which ran simultaneously, I’m delighted to say that all three exhibitions were a great success,” said marketing manager Myles Pemberton.
The first event of the three was the Groupauto trade show at the Telford International Centre, where members of the trading group came in record numbers and were brought up-to-date with latest developments with the three approved brands of Varta, Lucas and Numax. However, it was also the first opportunity for Manbat to explain the details of the supply agreement and the products in the Powerstart range, as it is now the custodian of the brand.
Second event on the schedule was The Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC, Birmingham, which gave Manbat the opportunity to support its many Numax leisure battery distributors. The assessment of the event was that it was a rip-roaring success as the team gave out more than 1,000 discount vouchers on the purchase of a Numax leisure battery to visitors on the Manbat stand.
The final destination on the tour was Paris for Equip Auto 2013 at Parc des expositions, Paris Nord. Here Manbat found visitors with a great appetite for the company, its pedigree, its reputation for good service, and of course, its brands.
“It was nice to kick off with the Groupauto show as it is always friendly and good fun, and it gives us a great opportunity to cement our relationships with the members and show our support for the group as a whole,” continued Pemberton.
“Our presence at the Motorhome & Caravan Show on the other hand is a little different as it is for public awareness of the Numax brand and the support of our leisure distributors that we exhibit. It is for this reason that we give visitors to the Numax stand a voucher for a 5% reduction on purchase of their next Numax leisure battery, and this year we gave out more than we have ever done before.
“When it comes to Paris, well, this was the biggest surprise of the three. We knew Telford and Birmingham would be good as we know the history of the events, but Paris was a leap of faith. However, we came away with a fistful of very interesting leads from companies that ranged from small to large businesses, which if even just a few convert into business, we’ll be more than happy.”
