Jiangxi Blackcat signs Europe distribution agreement

A deal with German chemical firm Lehmann & Voss & Co. and its Luvomaxx business unit offers further scope for China’s Jiangxi Blackcat Carbon Black inc. to penetrate European markets. Lehmann & Voss has signed a sales agreement with the state-owned carbon black manufacturer, securing exclusive distribution rights in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Luvomaxx will support existing direct contracts, mainly with the tyre industry, as part of the supply chain.

With seven production facilities and a current capacity of 900 kilotonnes, Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black Ltd. is the largest producer of furnace black in China and number four in the world. According to Karl-Heinz Teschke, head of the Lehmann & Voss’s Luvomaxx business unit, this new cooperative agreement means a significant expansion of its already intensive business relations with the People’s Republic.  Wenxing Chen, president of Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black, anticipates “robust growth” in exports to Europe.
