Yamamoto to head Yokohama’s US plant

Prior to breaking ground on its new US factory, over the weekend Yokohama Tire Corporation formally introduced Tadaharu Yamamoto as president of Yokohama Tire Manufacturing Mississippi.

During the plant’s construction period, Yamamoto and Yokohama Tire Manufacturing Mississippi will be headquartered in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park in nearby Starkville, Miss. When the West Point plant enters operation, YTMM will be the entity responsible for operations at the plant.

Before taking on this new role, Yamamoto served as executive vice-president and administrative division manager at Yokohama Tire Philippines.
