Vipal offers tread to improve snow traction for heavy vehicles
Brazilian retreading products manufacturer Vipal has launched its VT160 tyre tread, designed specially to improve the traction of heavy vehicles in snow. The tread was first presented at Autopromotec in Bologna, when Vipal said the tread was suited best to heavy vehicles travelling on a variety of surfaces.
Produced to be provide greater durability under severe conditions, Vipal says the VT160 tread has improved adhering potential on snowy, icy or muddy roads, providing more driving stability and safety for heavy vehicles. It is also highly adaptable, the manufacturer says, making it a good choice for vehicles that may face many different weather conditions and terrains in a single trip. The tread is designed with improved self-cleaning properties; Vipal says its “angulation” helps prevent retention of detritus, such as snow and rocks.
Vipal supplies more than ninety countries on all five continents, with major markets in Europe, Latin America and the United States. It has authorised retreading centres, staff and distribution centres in strategic locations to provide full support for international clients. Currently, aside from its three factories in Brazil, Vipal has distribution centres in Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Australia, the United States (Florida, Virginia and another recently inaugurated in California), Mexico and Colombia. It also maintains branches in ten other locations: Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Australia, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Vipal Overseas (Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia).
