New TyreSafe member airs safety jingle

Radio listeners wishing for more tyre-related airplay will envy those living or working in Leicestershire – throughout September and October TyreSafe’s ‘Check Your Pressure’ song will get airplay on community radio station, Hermitage FM, thanks to the organisation’s newest member, Jeff Fowkes Wheels Limited.

The tune will be played to support the initiatives Jeff Fowkes Wheels holds as part of tyre safety month within the region. Jeff Fowkes Wheels will also make a weekly appearance on the radio station throughout October, educating motorists on key tyre safety messages. Those outside northwest Leicestershire can listen live online at www.hermitagefm.com.

“It’s very encouraging to see one of our newest members so enthusiastically, and imaginatively, promote October’s tyre safety month in its region,” said TyreSafe chairman Stuart Jackson. “It just goes to show what a little creative thinking can achieve. I would urge other tyre retailers to get involved with tyre safety month and help improve road safety in the UK.”

Other tyre safety month activities planned by the Ibstock-based wheel and tyre specialist include a Lady Drivers Evening, point of sale leaflets for its customers and campaign posters in its reception area.

As a TyreSafe member, Jeff Fowkes Wheels is now entitled to be listed on TyreSafe’s online dealer locator where motorists can find their nearest garage offering free tyre safety checks throughout October. Only TyreSafe members can benefit from this listing.
