MAC Tools scales the heights for BEN
The daunting challenge of climbing the UK's 3 highest mountains in 24 hours was the latest fundraising activity MAC Tools has undertaken as proud supporters of BEN, the automotive industry charity. Through sheer will and determination the team of Head Office staff reached all 3 summits and expect to raise £5,000 in total, aiding BEN in its provision of support services to anyone who works, or has worked, in all automotive and related industries, as well as their dependents.
The 3 Peaks; Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, total over 3,400 metres, hard enough you would think but factor in the 400 miles to cover by road and you can appreciate the scale of the achievement. The team narrowly missed the 24 hour deadline but all have the consolation of knowing that the monies raised will make a huge difference to BEN.
“MAC Tools has now raised over £10,000 for BEN this year and our message of giving back to the automotive industry is clear and on-going. Speaking of the event itself, I would like to thank everyone who participated and completed the challenge as it was a unanimously difficult day. I would also like to thank all those people that have donated money to a great cause” said Chris Magson, team member and National Franchisee Recruitment Manager.
Peter Cottle, Head of Business Development at BEN was full of admiration: “What an achievement! As a charity we are appreciative of the support every company or individual provides but the MAC Tools team have really excelled themselves on this occasion. Thank you from everyone at BEN.”
