US launch for mid-range Cooper touring tyre
Cooper Tire has replaced its mid-range Lifeliner GLS in the US with a new model, the CS3 Touring. The new all-season tyre is available in T, H and V speed ratings, and sizes designed for highway and urban driving in today's modern passenger car and crossover vehicles. Cooper says the launch of the CS3 in combination with its current premium CS4 Touring tyre “offers a wide breath of sizes and feature options, giving appropriate choices for each consumer.”
A key CS3 feature is Cooper’s patent-pending StabilEdge technology, a new innovation that the tyre maker says enhances dry handling stability and offers crisper steering response and improved overall ride comfort. Cooper claims the tyre’s newly developed five-rib tread pattern helps it deliver improved wet and light snow traction, a smooth, quiet ride, and even-wearing, long-lasting tread life. Furthermore, the manufacture says the CS3 Touring ranks as one of the lightest tyres in its class, with an average weight reduction of two pounds leading to a six per cent improvement in rolling resistance (compared to typical tyre construction), delivering increased fuel efficiency.
“Cooper is committed to connecting consumers to life’s road trips,” said Scott Jamieson, Cooper Tire’s director of Product Management. “The CS3 Touring meets the needs of families by creating a safe, reliable, fuel-efficient and affordable tyre option while not compromising on features that deliver true performance benefits.”
