Two receive Hankook Tyre UK outstanding service awards
In June Hankook Tyre UK marked the ongoing service of its staff and presented members of the team with awards for outstanding service. The lunch recognised the 10 year anniversary for two members of its senior staff who both started work at the company in 2002.
UK sales director, Barrie Horrocks, was awarded for his outstanding service after celebrating 10 years with the company last year. Horrocks joined the company as commercial sales manager, a role he was in for 9 years before being promoted to sales director in 2011.
Ian Mayoll’s contribution to the company was also recognised. For Ian, the UK PCR sales manager, the award celebrates his second spell with Hankook UK. He was first employed by the company in 1990 when he became Hankook’s first European employee, he then briefly left the company before returning in 2002.
Credit and administration manager, Julie Beere’s work for company was also recognised as this year sees her reaching 15 years with Hankook. Further Outstanding Service awards were also presented to Tracy Martin and Ben Francis for completing 10 years service in 2012, and to Alex Brown and Steve Manuel for whom 2013 marks 10 years with the company.
The awards at the lunch were presented by the managing director at Hankook Tyre UK, Tony Lee, who said: “Hankook relies on people. Without our devoted staff our continued success would not be possible. The dedication of our team here in Daventry is vital to the growth of the company on a global scale so staff loyalty is key.
“It’s fantastic that Barrie, Ian, and the others, have stayed with the company for such long periods of time so it’s important to congratulate them, and recognise their commitment and what they have achieved. Hopefully they will all be working here for many more years to come!”
Hankook Tyre has been operating from its Northamptonshire base in Daventry since 1997, and continued its ongoing UK expansion with a new warehouse facility, which opened early this year.
