Transport Canada issues Michelin Tires recall
Transport Canada has issued a recall for several models of Michelin tyres, Tire Review reports. “A loss of inflation pressure could cause increased tyre temperature, which could lead to tyre failure. This could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage and/or personal injury,” Transport Canada said. The SUV or light truck tyre models affected are the LTX M/S2, the X Radial LT2 and the Latitude Tour sold primarily in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Michelin North America had previously announced a voluntary safety recall of these tyres. The manufacturer said it has identified and fixed the issue that prompted the recall, adding that so far, no deaths, injuries or accidents have been reported in connection with these recalled tyres. The tyre-maker added it will replace the tyres at no charge.
The tyres recalled are:

• LTX M/S2 P265/65R18 112T
• LTX M/S2 P265/60R18 109T
• X Radial LT2 P265/65R18 112T
• X Radial LT2 P275/55R20 111T
• Latitude Tour P255/60R19
• Latitude Tour P255/70R18 112T
