Ohio Senator meets with Apollo senior management

On 25 July, United States Senator Sherrod Brown, who represents the state of Ohio, met with Apollo Tyres chairman Onkar Kanwar and vice chairman and managing director Neeraj Kanwar to urge them to protect jobs in his – and Cooper Tire & Rubber’s – home state.

“Apollo Tyre should remain committed to the Findlay community where Cooper Tire has been for a century,” stated Brown after speaking with the Kanwars. “After meeting with Apollo’s senior management leaders, I am pleased to hear that they are already working with the United Steelworkers to ensure the growth of this company and to protect Ohio’s jobs and workers. I look forward to working with Apollo Tyre to ensure that it is spurring local economic growth and the rights of its workers now and in the future.”
