‘Man-Pram’ features 20-inch tyres
Vehicle manufacturer Škoda has ‘Clarksoned’ a baby’s pram with 20-inch alloys and all-terrain tyres, plus other features not typically found in the Mothercare catalogue. The pram was given the works to mark the launch of Škoda's fastest ever car – the latest generation Octavia vRS.
The company gave a team of engineers the task of bringing the same qualities that go into the car to other everyday objects. The result was the ‘vRS Man-Pram’, with said wheel and tyres plus wing mirrors, hydraulic suspension, oversized brake callipers, anti-stress grips and a headlamp beam for night walks. The pram’s features reflect a Škoda-commissioned survey of 1,000 dads that saw 76 per cent of respondents admit they’d spend more time pushing baby if given access to a higher spec and more stylish pram.
The Man-Pram’s choice of tyre gives it even more swagger than the car which inspired its creation – the new vRS can be purchased with 17, 18 or 19-inch wheels, with 225/45 tyres offered on the 17-inch rim and 225/45s on the larger two fitments, but a 20-inch version is absent from the car’s options list.
