Nussbaum launches RoboLigner
Nussbaum has premiered its new robotic wheel aligner, the RoboLigner. The fully automatic wheel alignment system, which includes a scissor lift, debuted this week's Autopromotec show.
Key RoboLigner features include high-precision, non-touch, CCT technology – Nussbaum says there is no need to attach anything to the rim, and therefore the unit is particularly gentle. To acquire data for the wheel alignment a three-dimensional image from the wheel is created. The sensors are guided on two rails along the runways of the Uni Lift scissor lift, thus keeping the space required for the complete system to a minimum. The RoboLigner allows for a complete wheel alignment to be performed during the vehicle reception. Nussbaum says the process, including automatic run-out compensation, can be carried out in under five minutes.
An intuitive user interface with user guidance leads through the complete procedure, the German manufacturer states, adding that it provides software with original car manufacturer nominal data for over 20,000 vehicles, as well as adjustment instructions with pictures. Furthermore, non-standard vehicles and new vehicles can be added into the database. The RoboLigner is also network capable, with optional ASA network.
The hydraulic scissor lift with NT technology is described as providing perfect synchronisation, and Nussbaum says both lifting platforms are equipped with front turntables and rear sliding plates. The platforms are coated in an ‘Oxygen Care’ coating to protect against corrosion. The RoboLigner and lift are controlled via a control on the cabinet, which includes the computer, 22-inch wide screen, printer and the hydraulic unit.
