Pirelli remains an ‘Investor In People’
Pirelli Tyres Limited has retained its accreditation as an Investor in People (IIP) for another three years after the Italian firm passed an audit that took place in Burton upon Trent and Carlisle. Run by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, Investors in People provides independent assessments to track a company’s progress.
The audit consisted of two days of interviews which were held at Pirelli’s Burton upon Trent base at the end of March, with two further days run out of Pirelli’s Carlisle office two weeks later. In total, 59 members of staff were interviewed.
New initiatives within the company such as the Training Academy and the e-Learning platform have helped illustrate Pirelli’s ongoing commitment to developing and upskilling its UK workforce.
Pirelli Tyres Limited Human Resources Director, Rodolfo Morandin, spoke highly of the reaccrediation: “From the recent Investors in People audit, we can deduce that Pirelli employees in the UK feel that they are valued within the company and that there is equality of opportunity for development and support. There was a general consensus amongst those that were interviewed that Pirelli offers a culture of continuous improvement which is very satisfying to hear. We fully believe that the success of any company is a direct result of a dedicated and happy workforce and we are delighted that Pirelli Tyres Limited has retained its accreditation following its latest audit.”
