Lassa back for more British drifting

This year, Lassa Tyres will once again field the Team Lassa Tyres in the British Drift Championship. The team’s drivers for the 2013 season are Simon Perry and Jody Fletcher in Super Pro-Class and Richard ‘Juddster’ McCourt in Semi Pro-Class; once again, they will compete in all six rounds of the UK’s premier drift championship.

The British Drift Championship is now in its sixth season and this is the second year that Team Lassa tyres has entered. Lassa Tyres says the championship reaches out to 20 million viewers in the UK alone and over 600 million worldwide. The Turkish brand has been involved with various football and motorsports over a number of years, but says it was attracted to sponsoring a drifting team as it offered the perfect place to bring brand awareness to its tyre range.

“It is amazing to work with a sponsor like Lassa Tyres, who share our passion,” said driver Simon Perry. “The Lassa tyres have really proved themselves on and off the track. All the team cannot believe their resilience, stability, grip and performance. We can’t wait for the 2013 season to start.”
