Goodyear Dunlop expands Ctrack coverage for TruckForce
Goodyear Dunlop’s dedicated truck tyre service provider, TruckForce has expanded its vehicle tracking system with the UK and Ireland’s largest telematics provider Ctrack, covering its entire fleet. The company says the deal will improve its operating efficiency, enhancing customer service.
The Ctrack system provides access to a wide range of real-time and historical data. The company can monitor driving behaviour, including idling and speeding, helping it to target a reduction in fuel usage. The system will also be used by office-based administrators and schedulers at 15 hubs located across the UK to identify the nearest and most appropriate vehicle for an incoming job based on location and available time. TruckForce can also ensure the legality of its vehicles by monitoring operational data such as arrival times, hazard warning lights usage and compressor times.
Paul Floyd, truck administration manager at Goodyear Dunlop, commented: “We are committed to providing a 24/7 solution that guarantees excellent levels of service and complete peace of mind, so it is essential to have a means of tracking our vehicles in the field.
“This ensures we maintain service levels in the most efficient way to help keep our customer’s vehicles in peak condition and provide an effective safety net. We have used Ctrack’s systems for over five years and have been very happy with the results so it was the obvious decision to roll the solution out across our entire fleet.”
John Wisdom, managing director of Ctrack, added: “Fleet operators face a wide range of issues in terms of overheads and customer requirements. Our unrivalled range of tracking solutions have been designed to deliver measurable benefits in terms of efficiency, productivity, service and duty of care to help overcome these challenges and support ongoing business strategies.”
