TGI to introduce mileage warranty for Orion brand
The economies in the Americas are picking up, and US-based wholesaler Tire Group International therefore anticipates achieving 15 to 20 per cent growth this year. Helping the company achieve this target are several key distribution agreements including regional distribution of the Mastercraft and Galaxy brands, increased investment in marketing, and the release of new products.
Amongst the tyres TGI has added to its portfolio is a fifth private label, Orion. The brand was launched in time for last year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas and is a medium commercial truck line aimed at US fleet operators. The range is said to combine durability and fuel efficiency, and comes with a casing warranty. Tire Group International CEO Tony Gonzalez recently told Tyres & Accessories that the wholesaler also intends to increase customer peace of mind with a further Orion offer: “In the second quarter of this year we will introduce a mileage warranty – this will be the first of its kind for a Chinese-made product.”
Describing the Orion private brand, Gonzalez added that “we know we have a top-tier product being made for us in Asia, Orion has been manufactured to exceed expectations.”
An in-depth interview with Tony Gonzalez will be published in the April 2013 issue of Tyres & Accessories; turn to April’s international wholesale feature for more information.
