Lassa benefits from ‘largest ever’ capacity investment in 2012
Along with displaying its range at the Geneva motor show for the fifth consecutive year, Turkish tyre brand Lassa has outlined its recent activities. Halit Şensoy, international sales and marketing director of Lassa manufacturer Brisa, shared that last year the tyre maker benefitted from the largest investment in production capacity in the company’s entire history. Brisa’s factory in Izmit, Turkey now has the capacity to produce ten million tyres per annum. The investment, Şensoy added, was made in order to meet growing demand in both local and export markets.
“We also made our first shipment to Australia, stepping into Asia-Pacific tyre markets as part of our international growth and expansion strategy,” the international sales and marketing director continued. “Thus we value the Geneva Motor Show very much as an excellent opportunity in order to share the technology, design and philosophy behind our brand with our international fellow exhibitors and visitors. It is also a great platform for us for building new contacts, reinforcing existing relationships with our partners and doing business.”
A total of 18 different types of tyre are showcased at Lassa’s Geneva show stand. These products are marketed and sold in more than 60 countries and include summer, winter, 4×4, light commercial and van tyres. The manufacturer’s display highlights its high performance ranges, such as the Phenoma, Competus H/P and Impetus Revo.
