Cam Systems joins TyreSafe
The diversity of TyreSafe’s membership is a major strength of the road safety organisation, and its latest recruit, tyre management software provider Cam Systems, increases this factor even further. As a supporter, Cam Systems will assist TyreSafe in a wide range of campaigns aimed at raising the awareness of correct tyre maintenance.
“It’s fantastic news to welcome Cam Systems to the ever expanding TyreSafe family. With a trusted and high public profile within the industry, it will be an important addition to the organisation and will add extra weight to our vital work,” said Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe.
Cam Systems is one of the UK’s leading data and software suppliers to the tyre industry. Its products and services are used by more than 4,300 individual users in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
The company is the architect of the Online Tyre Catalogue, found at www.tyreintelligence.co.uk, which displays the tyre labels of nearly 65,000 products from more than 120 manufacturers. It is offered freely to the industry for reference and to the consumer, for whom making informed decisions regarding their choice of tyre product is pivotal to the EU Tyre Labelling Legislation.
Mike Allen, managing director Cam Systems, said, “Cam Systems will make an important contribution to tyre safety by its direct interface with its many customers through its tyre data management initiatives on a daily basis who in turn will be speaking to those on the front line – the actual car drivers. We look forward to working closely with TyreSafe in such a busy year and helping to make the UK’s roads safer for all.”
TyreSafe supporters range from car and tyre manufacturers, retailers, emergency services and public sector organisations.
