Firestone bringing new releases to SIMA

A number of new Firestone branded tyres will be displayed at the upcoming SIMA International Agri-Business Show in Paris. Bridgestone Europe says show visitors will have the opportunity to see no less than three new products up close:

The Maxi Traction IF 800/70R38 is a further expansion of the Firestone range of high load capacity and low soil compaction heavy duty tractors tyres. Bridgestone Europe says the D-speed rated Maxi Traction IF’s larger footprint makes it the ideal candidate for replacing 710/70R42 or 650/85R38 tyres with a more soil-friendly alternative

The Maxi Traction 800/65R32 tyre for Combine vehicles is described as the optimal tyre for this segment, as Bridgestone Europe says it combines high efficiency, high load capacity and low soil compaction into one.

With the new Performer 270/95R48 Row Crop tyre, Firestone is entering the sprayer market with tyres featuring outstanding load carrying capacity, high speed index and accurate steering response – a combination the Bridgestone Europe says will enhance farming efficiency.  In order to cover all sprayer specific needs, further sizes will be added to the Performer 85-90-95 series in the coming months.

“With these new products, we provide agricultural vehicle operators with high efficient long-life tyres that not only reduce their operating costs, but at the same time contribute to a better environment thanks to their low soil disturbance and compaction as well as their low fuel consumption,” commented Yves Kerstens, managing director, Commercial Business Unit, Bridgestone Europe.

These products will be displayed in combination with AgriPoint – the Firestone programme available to professional independent agricultural tyre dealers – and systems such as the Firestone tyre pressure smart-phone application. With these, Bridgestone Europe intends to show visitors that Firestone offers farmers a complete solution.

The SIMA show runs from 24 to 28 February. Firestone says its stand (Hall 5B, stand N° B115) will be well positioned amongst several tractor manufacturers.
