Avon ready for MCN show appearance
Avon Tyres is set to showcase its latest 3D Ultra range at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle show later this week. The show, which takes place in the ExCeL arena at London’s Royal Victoria Dock from 15 to 17 February, will see the tyre maker partner with FWR – one of London’s largest stockists of motorcycle tyres – to highlight the range. Both the 3D Ultra Sport and 3D Ultra Supersport, designed for road-going superbikes, will be on display alongside other tyres from the Avon range, include the Storm 2 Ultra sports-touring tyre, the Cobra cruiser tyre, Roadrider – for classic and commuter machines – and Avon’s scooter tyres.
On the stand, visitors will be able to take up the offer of a ‘buy now, fit later’ deal, enabling them to pay for their tyres and get them fitted later at FWR for free, and enter a competition to win a set of Avon tyres, a DID chain and sprocket kit, plus a free oil and filter change, courtesy of Motul. Visitors will also see Avons fitted to a Suzuki GSX-R1000 race machine and a classic P&M Kawasaki Z1000, both belonging to FWR’s own Bob Collins. Famous faces that are planning on visiting the Avon and FWR stand include Eurosport’s James Whitham plus former World Superbike Endurance Champion Terry Rymer, who will appear on the Saturday of the show.
