Vianor and Wissol cooperating in Georgia
At the tail end of 2012, Nokian Tyres plc has signed a co-operation agreement with the Wissol Group conglomerate to expand its Vianor retail chain into Georgia. With this agreement, Wissol Group’s 15 existing “AutoExpress” retail outlets will be re-branded as Vianor. In the future, the chain will also be further developed and expanded under the Vianor brand.
Wissol Group has been developing its AutoExpress chain since 2010. Now that it is associated with the Vianor brand, the goal is to expand and develop the chain aggressively. As you can imagine, the retail outlets will especially focus on the sale of Nokian tyres, as well as car servicing.
“The varying climate, from the mountains all the way to the Black Sea coast, creates challenging conditions, and Nokian Tyres and Vianor are the experts in this field. Georgia is an interesting, strongly growing market. By combining Wissol Group’s network that covers all of Georgia and their local resources with Vianor’s strong concept, we have very good opportunities for developing and expanding the chain in Georgia,” said Olli Nuutila, Business Manager at Nokian Tyres upon the announcement of the deal at the end of November 2012.
