Titan personnel changes announced
Titan International has announced several personnel changes resulting from its acquisition of Titan Europe. Cecilia LaManna will serve as the CEO of ITM, the company’s design and assembly centre for complete undercarriages and side frames in Europe. And Chris Akers will head up the entire Titan Europe wheel group; Akers will report to Titan Wheel’s president, Dave Salen.
Titan’s South Africa, Australia, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, Russia and Canada wheel groups will report to the Titan Mining Services group, headed by Paul Hawkins, executive vice-president of Titan Mining Services. Gary Chesterton will be vice-president of Finance for all European operations, and he will report directly to Paul Reitz, chief financial officer of Titan International.
Mike Akers will work with Maurice Taylor and the Titan International Board on various acquisitions.
Titan International believes this new alignment positions Titan Europe not only for future growth, but also for expansion of various market shares. Richard Rose, vice-president of Titan Sales & Marketing, will review the company’s total sales and market staff during the first quarter to “maximise synergies between the organisations.”
