PrecurePro – Goodyear Dunlop’s latest retreading range

Late last year Goodyear Dunlop introduced PrecurePro, a further development of its commercial vehicle tyre retreading programme. The tyre maker describes PrecurePro as a “comprehensive range of pre-cure retreading solutions that reduce vehicle operating costs and support retreading partners and fleets.” The ultimate goal of PrecurePro, it adds, is to give partners the required edge in a competitive market.

Elaborating on the programme, Goodyear Dunlop says PrecurePro offers retreading partners a complete professional support package, which covers marketing tools, technical advice and assistance as well as hardware recommendations and training opportunities. This support is complemented by a full range of pre-cure treads and retreading accessories that have been developed by the same teams that design Goodyear Dunlop’s new commercial tyres. The PrecurePro line-up includes three levels of tread product; UniTac, a flat tread band and the most economical option in the range, UniWing, a contoured tread band with wings for improved uniformity, and UniCircle, a complete pre-cured tread circle.

“PrecurePro’s wide range of pre-cure treads supports fleets in reducing their cost per kilometre by retreading their tyres and thus extending their new tyre potential with second life capability,” said Goodyear Dunlop in a statement. “PrecurePro is a key element in the tyre’s four-step multiple life concept (new tyre, regrooving, retreading and regrooving) allowing fleets to optimise their initial investment. The programme is part of Goodyear Dunlop’s complete service offering, which as well as providing commercial benefits also helps to reduce environmental impact.”

The PrecurePro range includes tread patterns that Goodyear Dunlop says will “suit the varying needs of commercial fleet customers.” These include patterns used in the company’s latest commercial vehicle tyres. With the PrecurePro program complementing its new tyres and its MultiTread and NextTread mould cure retread product ranges, Goodyear Dunlop is confident its portfolio now offers a professional solution that covers virtually every commercial vehicle application.

The pre-cure range is available through Goodyear Dunlop’s network of selected and certified ‘Goodyear Authorized Retreaders’ throughout Europe.
