MTNA receives Marangoni award

Italy’s Marangoni has given its Marangoni Tread North America subsidiary the company’s ‘President’s Award’ for 2012; the North American operation gained this distinction due to its strong sales performance plus manufacturing and marketing development.

During the course of last year, Marangoni Tread North America’s unit sales of tread rose 15 per cent year-on-year compared with 2011. Marangoni Tread North America also increased its capacity to 1.2 million treads a year and added two Ringtread and 12 Unitread retreaders to its operation; it now has a total of 42 authorised retreaders.

At the award ceremony, Marangoni CEO Massimo De Alessandri commented: “2012 has been a terrific year for Marangoni Tread North America, and with this award, it shows to the entire organisation what can be accomplished when they all execute their plan and everyone does their part. Congratulations to everyone.” Giuseppe Ferrari, managing director of Marangoni SpA’s Retreading Systems Division, added: “The introduction and success of Unitread into the US market has been very gratifying, greatly increasing Marangoni’s presence and strength in this important market.”
