Kraiburg offers Turkish retreaders TSE-ECE 109 support
Kraiburg Austria recently offered Turkish retreaders information on the introduction of the TSE-ECE 109 regulation in an event organised by Tatko Otomotive Istanbul. The distributor invited 40 customers who are affected by the implementation of the Turkish tyre labelling requirement. The Turkish retreaders have been given just six months to meet the requirements. Tatko has already been certified as conforming to TSE-ECE 109 for its own retreading business for three years.
The regulation was made official in 2009. Now, for the first time, a representative of the Ministry of Transport has explained the details for its introduction and implementation. In another presentation a repre¬sentative of the TSE (Türk Standartlar Enstitüsü = Institute of Turkish Standards) went into detailed information about the necessary checks.
Kraiburg Sales Manager Ben van der List gave examples from the business in Germany and the Netherlands and explained the financial consequences. According to the retreading material supplier, the 40 Tatko customers realised that they now have to act as swiftly as possible and that they have to invest, make test tyres and submit the necessary applications.
