Maxxis a 2012-2013 CONCACAF sponsor
Maxxis reports its participation as advertiser in the 2012-2013 CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) World Cup Qualifications, open to the national teams of these regions. The Maxxis logo was shown on field-boards in 18 games in 2012 and will appear in most matches in 2013.
“Soccer reaches millions of hearts worldwide, and Maxxis is happy to reach these fans by strategically placing our brand in prime locations on the field,” stated Maxxis Latin America. “
The CONCACAF is one of six continental football confederations that conduct World Cup qualification tournaments in that region, and the qualifying process got underway more than two years before the World Cup. Six teams have already advanced to the final round, known as the “hexagonal”: the United States, Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and Panama. The top three teams from this round will qualify to play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in Brazil. The team in fourth place will have a match-up against the winner of Oceania. The champion of this match will also have a spot in the competition.
